Cellular network security is more critical than ever, given the increased complexity of these networks. A recent trend is to leverage ML techniques for devising effective defences. Recent large language models (LLMs) are also opening new directions for security applications.

The talk presented a comprehensive threat analysis in the context of 5G cellular networks, two specific applications of ML techniques for cellular network security, and further research directions.
