AI/ML for automation across industry sectors is having a positive impact on productivity. GenAI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity Pro edition — being freely available — will have millions of users in a short span. This wide usage of AI/ML at the individual level has exposed various security and privacy challenges.

The talk covered recent challenges related to data leakage, privacy compromises, vulnerabilities, and hallucination. Good practices to mitigate the risks associated with these assistants were also discussed.
